Filled with the grim and dreadful surroundings of WW II, as you already know, Marvel is planning to unfold the “origin” story of Steve Rogers as Captain America. It’s definitely a go… we’re going to do some time traveling to the 40’s in the whereabouts of Hitler’s Nazi occupied Europe. So if Steve Rogers is disembarking in the highly anticipated First Avenger Film then voilá… Guess who should we have for the ruthless welcoming party? The Cap’s arch nemesis: The Red Skull!

Johann  Schmidt A.K.A. Red Skull is one of the most feared and brutal officials of the Third Reich.  Selected personally by Hitler himself, The Red Skull escalated the highest ranks of the Nazi Party becoming a decidedly and effective “weapon of intimidation” to spread out terror in the early stages of WW II. Although The Captain America Movie is starting to deploy its production, nothing is 100% confirmed whereas The Red Skull will be the official villain or not, but as I stated above, since this is the story of how Steve Rogers becomes Captain America, then The Red Skull in Joe Jhonston’s First Avenger film is a must! Hope they don’t turn this one into The Cap just fighting Nazi soldiers. The real deal here is without a question the showdown with the old school of menace The Red Skull.

The Cap and Red Skull have come a long way, they’re like bread and butter, one cannot exist with out another. The Red Skull vs Captain America are one of the greatest rivalries in the Marvel Universe. So as in past post  Will Captain America Movie trigger The Invaders? we don’t know for sure, but hope it does. Now one thing is for certain… it should definitely trigger the vicious fury, of The Red Skull!

Steve Grant Rogers A.K.A Captain America has started to enlist his movie production to disembark on multiplexes around July 2011. As quoted by movie director Joe Johnston: “…It’s basically the story of how Steve Rogers, becomes Captain America“. Which means we’ll be seeing how The Cap takes on the pinnacle of World War II as his origin story turns him into “The First Avenger“.

But at those days of huge bomb runs and massive artillery fighting all over Europe The Cap did not fight along. Of course, we are talking about the Marvel version of WW II. Few might know that their was a cool team of heroes that liked to kick the shit out of Nazis and all that dealt with Hitler’s deranged 3rd Reich Party. That team of liberty fighters was known as “The Invaders“!  The Invaders was basically the first elite force of superhuman heroes ever to assembled and since this is a Captain America origin story, might we see some slight cameo appearances of them in it? Who knows, but it’s another Marvel Iron Man in Hulk 2 gold mine.  The cameo appearance of , Iron Man 2 on May, the upcoming Thor Movie and the production of The First Avenger Movie might be the clue to the anticipated and expected fan rumor hype down to “Avengers Assemble“.

Just as The Avengers are starting to assemble one way or another, The Captain America movie if cleverly decided by its movie director Joe Jhonston and Marvel might give glimpses of showing off The Invaders or triggering them into their own solo movies. Initially known as the All-Winners Squad which members conform the team that later becomes known as The Invaders? Here you have ‘em:

-Captian America: Injected with super soldier serum Steve Rogers becomes the quintessential Captain we all know
-Namor The Sub-Mariner: The Hybrid King of Atlantis. One of first superhumans  to join in the allied force with The Cap
-Human Torch: Member of the Fantastic Four once battled Namor due to the misunderstud destruction of Atlantis
-James “Bucky” Barnes: Known as Winter Soldier. The Cap’s sidekick that later becomes known as the New Captain America
-Union Jack: The British prime time and on par version with Captain America.
-Toro: Sidekick and apprentice to The Torch
-Spitfire: Daughter of Union Jack I
-Miss America: Married superhero Robert Frank A.K.A. Whizzer
-Whizzer: The speedster of The Invaders. Or Marvel’s on par version of DC’s The Flash

So it’s minotaur tacos, demon ground beef and angel sashimi, served hot and raw right thru your favorite video game console. The underdogs of menace are ready to slice your world as you either take the role of Kratos, Dante or War, but what the heck!…You should savour the flesh rush of these three antiheroes as you get control of their uncontrollable blood thirst! Question is, which famous meat butcher are you?  It’ll all come down to what dimension and timeline suits better off your barbaric personality and gory taste. I give you a brief description on your favorite “meat lovers” …

KRATOS: Once a merciless and brutal Spartan Captain. Fooled by Olympian treachery, he falls in massacring his own family, driven by revenge he travels a titanic journey turning out from a simple mortal to become the known and relentless God of War! With two legendary and bloody tours by his side, Kratos and his infamous “Blades of Chaos” leads the count in the flesh mincing business! Aided by Titans, Kratos 3rd and most anticipated delivery will come on March 2010 when he is ready to take on the head of Zeus and all means that stands in his way. This is the kind of game that would make the king God of ancient Greece to wish he had a God to pray upon!!!

DANTE:  How deep will you fall for love? Think again, cause this is not your typical cheesy love line… This involves a round tour thru the 9 circles of  Hell, and the deeper you go the ruthless it gets!  As Dante’s beloved Beatrice falls into the underworld so is the crusader’s will to rescue her.  Based on the literature classic The Divine Comedy, this is Dante’s first video game appearance as he wields his Death Scythe and literally is ready to raise hell!  Anticipated criticism say Dante’s Inferno is a hard copy of God of War. However, the insane crusader will come out one month before Kratos decides to oblivion Mount Olympus. As Dante’s fury is released earlier into the hellish arena, we’ll see if his gameplay has enough proven valor to step far aside from the Spartan Captain or just becomes a cheap fan of Kratos work. Besides, when it comes to chop-chop and mutilate Satan and his minions to the rhythm of “Disco Inferno“, who cares if the gameplay is alike!  This said, I rephrase the question: Is your love for Hell deep enough?

WAR: When he rides, wrath and despair venture along with him. He’s not your regular route 66 badass lowrider, we are talking about one of the Four Apocalyptic Horsemen: The ravaging War! Accused of triggering the Armageddon beforehand, War is sentenced to death by the Charred Council. Citing one of the Bushido codes: “Death is not eternal, dishonor is”; before awaiting for death row, War makes a request to the Charred Council in order to find out who was behind the released Armageddon as well as to be given a chance to restore his rep and honor.  With the Charred Council’s approval, War begins his campaign of terror slaying and annihilating Angels and Demons as equal, in his way of searching for the hidden truth.  War could’ve escaped death, but he couldn’t  escape the public gossip that the gameplay was like God of War meets Zelda.  Kratos may be the benchmark when it comes to dismembering ways, but unlike the Spartan Captian, War began its soul hunting journey at the first week of January of this year, and so far it has demonstrated that he differs in slaughtering and gameplay ways with the God of War.

SLAYING COMMENTS:

Any of the above mentioned meat manglers that you choose is a fine pick. In a rhetorically way, at the end it’ll all come down between choice and the era you decide to affect… As your butchering means will determine the chain of future and unfortunate events; check the gameplay videos and select your warrior:

KRATOS: To go against the supreme Greek God and its heavens?

DANTE: To do God’s work and defeat Satan in his own domains?

WAR: To restore the order between good and evil without taking sides in battle ground Earth?

My call? Get your stuff together and share the bloodshed memoirs of these three infamous meat mincers!!!

Does Legion have enough wings to take off?

So magnanimous God all mighty tired of his most beloved and complex creation: The human race, decides to push the universal delete button by sending his very own army of sky enforcers: Angels, is that it?   Since the days of long white beard Noah, God promised never to punish mankind again by filling up earth with oceans, pretty much as we saw in Roland Emerich’s 2012 movie.  However in the vision of screenwriters: Peter Schink and Scott Stewart your good old guardian angel might become your very own self executioner, when a Legion of angels are set to annihilate mankind for good!!!

Although Legion’s own movie proposal of restoring order in earth might sound interesting, it hasn’t raised sufficient heavenly expectations among the internet community.  Some say Legion’s plot is Beavis and Butthead stupid, some others punish it as if they were the Roman Catholic Pope point of view and some say it’s just simply going to be another sci fi style holy crap movie fiasco.

Are we being to hard with God’s merciful soldiers or simply angels with guns fighting mankind don’t mix? Unlike the Gabriel movie, that Archangels fought Demons with guns at the end of days, this one had a more solid film proposal than the upcoming Legion movie. Judging by the trailer Legion seems to start good and as it goes on, but then it falls short on potential as it passes from great to are you kidding me??? Now, if you ever wondered as a simple mortal on how to wack an angel, then Legion might be for you. And if it takes bullets, then hey! Angels aren’t as immortal after all.

Bottom line: Legion looks like the Resident Evil of heaven, but instead of zombies, bullets might be your best prayers. Gotta give Legion the benefit of doubt, after all on January 22 we’ll see if Legion survives the expected fan-like judgement day, or do we pray God to put a stop on another Legion sequel for good. -Amen-

One thing is for certain: The decade will begin with blood, lot’s of blood!!! So if you’re a bloodsucker or pretend to be one, ready your plasma levels on high because Daybreakers is going to hit multiplexes for what’s left of mankind this week!  Since the times of Vlad Tepes A.K.A Dracula till this date we’ve seen all kinds of vampire movies… From the classic ones, battles between werewolves and vampires to vampires in outer space… In vampirism you name it!

Nevertheless, we haven’t seen a flick where the strangers seem to be the human race because mother earth as we know it, has become over populated by bloodsuckers! But what happens when a race of vampires runs short on food? Creepy as it might sound but you harvest human beings as nutritious meals!!! In a vampiric world of human famine some “bats” fight to have their right for food and that of course means blood! In a counterpart, counted with a handful of fingers, a few good mortals fight their way to restore the human race back and therefore, bring equilibrium back to life.

Directed by Peter and Michael Spierig and starting 30 Days of Night vampire snow slayer: Ethan Hawke and former Count Dracula: Willem Dafoe; Daybreakers seems to be the first promising film of 2010. So like I said before, if you’re into the blood thing get ready for a wholesome meal of blood when Daybreakers tickles your mortal eyeballs, the first week of January.

Citing Gotham’s most deranged clown, The Joker: “…And here we go”. One year ends, another one begins and this one will magnify big time rumor countdown concerning the 3rd delivery of The Dark Knight. Till know all dealing with The Caped Crusader is nothing but rumors and spoilers. However the biggest buzz in Arkham Asylum’s corridors is who’s gonna be the next super villain for Batman and no matter what the buzz might be it seems that Johnny Depp as The Riddler is the one name that keeps popping up!
