One thing is for certain: The decade will begin with blood, lot’s of blood!!! So if you’re a bloodsucker or pretend to be one, ready your plasma levels on high because Daybreakers is going to hit multiplexes for what’s left of mankind this week!  Since the times of Vlad Tepes A.K.A Dracula till this date we’ve seen all kinds of vampire movies… From the classic ones, battles between werewolves and vampires to vampires in outer space… In vampirism you name it!

Nevertheless, we haven’t seen a flick where the strangers seem to be the human race because mother earth as we know it, has become over populated by bloodsuckers! But what happens when a race of vampires runs short on food? Creepy as it might sound but you harvest human beings as nutritious meals!!! In a vampiric world of human famine some “bats” fight to have their right for food and that of course means blood! In a counterpart, counted with a handful of fingers, a few good mortals fight their way to restore the human race back and therefore, bring equilibrium back to life.

Directed by Peter and Michael Spierig and starting 30 Days of Night vampire snow slayer: Ethan Hawke and former Count Dracula: Willem Dafoe; Daybreakers seems to be the first promising film of 2010. So like I said before, if you’re into the blood thing get ready for a wholesome meal of blood when Daybreakers tickles your mortal eyeballs, the first week of January.
