Zombieland: What makes it so great?

Bite big, bite Zombieland!

What started out as a pilot for a CBS horror-comedy show, turned out to become this weekend’s number one smash hit at the box office.  Shot with a $23.6 million budget and pouring some initial weekend dough for $25 million, Zombieland is something to watch for. Really not bad when it comes in filling up the screen with gore and laughter, Zombieland is like no other thing you’ve ever seen before.

Now what makes Zombieland so great? Here’s to you my 5 point list:

1  The chemistry between Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg: These two where one of a kind. Woody’s character as Tallahassee is one rough bad ass kicking dude. On the other hand Jesse’s character as Columbus is a wimped geek, who’s scared of almost everything, but it’s his scares and rules that make him able to survive the gore land.  Woody and Jesse are like having a straight glass of bourbon along with some gummy bears to enjoy!

2  Gore, rules and quotations: Well it’s zombies of course, you gotta have gore and in Zombieland bloodshed and gruesomeness are at the order of the day. Now, blend in Columbus funny “zombie survival rules” and mix it with lots of cutting edge quotations and what you have is one comedy horror that’ll blow your mind!  Mark my words, Zombieland has some great funny quotes that it will make it become an instant adorable pop culture classic to cite and die for.

3  Wits at its best: Killing zombies and not having any fun about it would be boring, wouldn’t it? Besides the funny quotes, Zombieland delivers great dark humor moments of action. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but when you watch it just keep in mind the bathroom and piano zombie scenes, for example.

4  Survival with the girls: Putting only Woody and Jesse, as two less lonely people in the world would be kind of queer, huh?…However Emma Stone as Wichita and Abigail Bresin as Little Rock, spice up the zombie screen when teaming up with Tallahassee and Columbus,  gotta love the characters names in this movie. Not only do they have to make their way in surviving zombies, but have to survive on each others personalities. It’s a hilarious combination at every twist the zombie exterminators have to offer!

5  Drop dead amusement locations: Writers, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese along with movie director, Ruben Fleischer; where capable of thinking and delivering cool scenarios. Especially the Pacific Playland Park, where the main attraction are our four main human characters, and every zombie in town wants a piece of the show. As a matter of fact if you see the movie logo and poster design, it tells you from the start that you’re in for one killer ride! Get ready for the thrill of your life.

The Do’s and Dont’s when watching Zombieland

Do expect a lot of gore and funniness, especially dark humor.

Don’t expect this one to scare the hell out of your movie seat. It’s not a Night of the Living Dead, nor is it a Resident Evil. In the comedy side don’t expect it also to be a Shaun of the Dead. Zombieland: Gotta enjoy the little things!!!
