Besides the fear of falling into the category of a reboot a Daredevil 2 movie also faces the uncertainty of character fate. Truth well told is that a Daredevil 2 movie is on the works, and as a bearer of law and order lawyer Matt Murdock cannot lie that until now, he has no clue on which way Daredevil is gonna go on this one. That’s right, no official actors confirmed to the date, only that Fox has plans on rebooting The Man Without Fear.
Unlike the abomination of Raimi’s Spiderman 3, The 2003 Daredevil movie was not great, was not bad, but above all it was consistent and faithful to the different Daredevil characters. Right now, the news around the web are about if Ben Affleck is coming back to play The Hero of Hells Kitchen or not. Not to mention if Jennifer Garner as Elektra Natchios , Colin Farrell as Bullseye or Michael Clarke Duncan as Wilson Fisk / The Kingpin are signing back in. Well obvious, it’s a reboot not a sequel.
Now that we mention the word reboot, question is which bad asses of Hell’s Kitchen should dare Hornhead’s fighting skills? First of the list goes to New York’s top Cosa Nostra 400 pounds of crime, Wilson Fisk A.K.A The Kingpin. Genius to all that has to do with criminal activities, besides being a menace to most of Marvel super hotshots like Spiderman, The Kingpin has become an arch enemy to Daredevil, and this brawl between evil and good is a instant classic that can’t go wrong when Hornhead goes one on one trying to nail The Kingpin of Crime?
Second runner up and without a doubt, should be the deadly marksman Benjamin Pointdexter A.K.A Bullseye. If Colin Farrell is coming back or not, I think he should, “the battle of the eyesights” as I would describe it, is always a great fight eye candy to watch…
You have the best irony of both worlds: The Bullseye with the sharpest eye and The Blind Lawyer of Hell’s Kitchen, Daredevil with no eyes. Who watches who and who dodges what in Hell’s Kitchen among these two, is always a treat to the eyes!
Last but not least in the list is the third and most rumored web nominee: Larry Cranston A.K.A Mr Fear. Let’s face it guys, Daredevil is more like a bat he cannot see, but his other senses are super enhanced. The fact you cannot see fear doesn’t mean you cannot smell it coming. And there’s nobody better in filling up the air with terror, than Matt Murdock’s ex law school classmate; Mr. Fear.
So if the other was the “battle of the eyesights”, this one should be called “who’s got the better nose, when nosing around with fear pheromones”?
Last remarks, now that a DD reboot is confirmed it really would be nice to see and keep 2 out of 3 of the mentioned Hell’s Angel villains for the movie. I’d keep the 3 of them. Nothing that DD cannot handle, but in the end who do you think The Man Without Fear, should fear the most when Daredevil 2 hits the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood?
