Mutilation, sorcery, hideous beasts, extreme gore, hot vixens and brutal axe and sword fighting are all barbaric essentials to Robert E. Howard’s, Conan. Much has been said around the web since the rumors of Robert Rodríguez directing the future barbaric movie, to Austrian bodybuilder Roland Kickinger to be Conan. Truth well told is that The new Cimmerian movie is going to be directed by German filmmaker Marcus Nispel and that Kickinger being casted as Conan, might have to stay pumping iron at the gym, because it’s just a film proposal rumor.
While Dark Horse Comics along with Paradox Entertainment and Lionsgate agree on the “right Cimmerian” for the job and what kind of brutal plot it should take… I’d rather start pitching suggestions on the gruesome side, while around 2011, Conan will hopefully try to “crush some of these enemies” out:
Thoth Amon: In the Conan tales this evil sorcerer is like the Voldermot of the Hyborian World. This wicked warlock is one of Conan’s most deadliest arch enemies. He has a thing for unimaginable sickening snakes, that would make Cobra’s Serpentor, look like a puppy.
Devourer of Souls: When it comes to heavy metal blade gear, this foe is a demonic threat to Conan’s fighting skills. This infernal swordsman can easily rephrase Pinhead by yelling out his own Hellraiser quote: “I’ll barbarically tear your soul apart!!!”
Ishiti: Skinned from the Hyborian worst nightmares, shivers out this repulsive gorgon bitch! This gigantic Medusa is one royal Demon-Goddess of the Hyborian period, ready to take a lethal bite out from Conan.
Aesir Soldiers: The bad ass Uruk-hai have nothing to envy when it comes to this berserker hunting party. Commanded by Horsa-an, this militia of frenzy soldiers crave big time for a taste of Conan’s limbs.
Undead: Extracted from the Songs of The Dead series, these bloody thirsty corpse soldiers have an appetite for anyone who gets in their way. Not to mention Conan, who in the case of a face-off, will feel repulsive, for these infernal abomination soldiers.
By the way, the guys of the conan movie blog have done an amazing job! Keep it up guys!!!
