G.I. Joe: Will its special effects and plot backfire and kill the movie?

G.I. Joe is good to go this August

G.I. Joe is good to go this August. Could it take the heat to be a killer one?

Hope am wrong, I hope I’am dead wrong on this, but I think that the upcoming movie: G.I. Joe, The Rise of Cobra could turn into a complete fiasco.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I’m not excited to see the Joe’s hit the big screen, but what I’ve seen so far, doesn’t look G.I. Joe to me.

To state my case I’m going to say this: The main movie G.I. Joe trailer emphasizes to much in the new accelerator suit, what the heck???!!! If it’s true G.I. Joe started in 1964, with its post World War II military branches,  I’m expecting to see the classic G.I. Joe era from 1982 to 1992, back when Hasbro launched it’s infinite 3 3/4-inch scale action figures, with multiple vehicles, cartoon series and comic books. However the new accelerator suit, seems to replicate the unsuccessful G.I. Joe Sigma 6 series that started back in 2005. Really, if it didn’t succeed, then why go for it?

True to the movie trailer, is the attack of Cobra to the G.I. Joe Headquarters:The Pitt, but that’s Sigma 6 stuff, and less certainly notThe Real American Hero essence.  Like I said before, I hope I’m wrong. I do have high expectations for the Joe’s movie, but I hope it’s not another super hero movie that’s killed by the abuse of special effects and a story that goes the other way around to it’s true origin.

We’ll talk more about it when G.I. Joe deploys at the movie theaters this August 7.

  1. [...] Filled with entire disappointment a lot of people at the movie theater with astonishment saw my angered expression, when I stood up at the end of the hideous film and cried out loud: That is not G.I. Joe!!! I entered the movie theater with a programmed mindset in hopping that the post I made nearly a month ago about the Joe’s movie, would be totally wrong.
