I´m probably one of the biggest fans of the Dragon Ball anime series. Although i`ve never had the pleasure of reading a DB comic, I`ve seen (literally) all DB anime episodes, from the beginning to GT.

Its good i now know that the movie sucked (well i knew it when i first saw the trailer) and that i don´t have to pass through a 2 hour movie disgrace, but still i was a little excited that a small tribute was being paid to Manga´s masterpiece.

I really hope (and I´m talking about all comic adaptations) that someday producers, directors and "movie stars" that are hired to participate in a movie based on a comic, consider the true fan points of view. And don´t worry, we do understand that you do have to make slight changes on the story progression (not the comic´s essence) for viewers that have never had contact with the series, but PLEASE consider that there are people in this planet (like me and TIGUI) that know each and every detail of the anime itself. We just don´t want to be punked by another of Hollywood´s summer "blockbuster".

GREAT BLOG BY THE WAY...

Not only a lot of effort... Just change the whole dam crew. Dragon Ball looked like a "pilot" movie, not like a true "anime" one.

I think the lack of seriousness is an issue in this kind of films. There is the word that 20th Century Fox is thinkin about a trilogy. There is a blog (dragonball.saiyanisland.com/)that confirms it with some statements made by Abraham Sullivan, 20th Century Fox spokesman, and James Masters himself (he played Piccolo). If the conformation is true they will have to put some...well a lot of efford, to make us forget about the Evolution that never came!!!
