"Tonight a comedian died in New York"

The movie itself is like having your first bottle of “tequila”, either you love it or hate it.  Overall, Watchmen is and was like nothing you’ve never seen before. Why? Because simply the comic series isn’t based upon like many other comics, in where the heroes saves the day. Even though Marvel is leading the count on the superheroes movies, DC Comics is setting out an interesting trend… That I would qualify as great! Which is: intriguing and dark plots.  And Watchmen is no exception to the rule, as a matter of fact The Watchmen characters are like seeing a bunch of heroes high on Prozac, trying to fight up a reality that escaped their hands long time ago. Directed by 300’s own genius, Zack Snyder and the movie that its creators: Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons did not want to see turned into a Hollywood hit, brings out a smiley face to the DC Franchise. Reason why? Simply, because it’s loaded with enough wit, drama and irony, and that my friends should bring a round of applause to DC Comics, for giving us another twisted movie to enjoy in style, more or less like the Dark Knight.  However, Watchmen should stay without the possibility of watching out for a Watchmen 2 sequel.  Without Rorschach alive and seeing again the biggest pussy of them all: Dr Manhattan, a second part would not put the same smile in our face as the original movie. “Tonight a comedian died in New York”. Enough said.
