For whom should Asgard cheer up as the new Thor?

Bring the thunder down

Bring the thunder down

When you have a mighty Norse God of 6’6” and weighting 640 lbs of pure solid muscle, Hollywood’s pick for the powerful hero of Asgard should not be left to chance.  Friends around me, have been asking if I happen to know who shall play Thor for the upcoming movie?

Around the web the guy who has the most popular calls is

Alexander Skarsgard from HBO’sTrue Blood. It’s okay if fans out there want a Classic Thor look.

Since it’s role as Achilles in Troy, others think

Brad Pitt should take a shot at the title.

But for me, it all comes down to one guy, that without any doubt should be the King of Asgard, and that my friends is James Preston Rogers. A Canadian wrestler, who has the looks and height to lift up Mjolnir (Thor’s hammer) and claim the role as his own.

The issue here is can he act for the part?  I do hope Marvel and Hollywood are very, very critical in who should become the new Thor, so every opinion counts. What’s yours?
